I really like this picture. It’s not altered at all, actually – I cropped it some, so it would be “web-sized,” but as far as bending the tree – it grew that way, or at least it was growing that way when I took the picture awhile ago. You can’t see it, but if you were to look to the right of the tree would be Lake Superior, and this trail that runs next to the lake goes right around that tree. Waxing poetic … well, it’s impressive. And beautiful. And does lend itself to kind of extensive metaphor, but that might spoil what makes this so good – it’s just a bent tree. Distinguished. Alive.
